Introduction

In the organization, various people work together and all come from various states and countries. The workforce diversity definition can include gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, physical abilities, and ideologies. Diversity also includes employees’ life experiences, how they solve issues, and socioeconomic status. It can be said that all the people who work in the organization belong to various cultures and various places but work in the same organization. A diverse workforce is more likely to understand your customers’ needs and come up with ideas to fulfill them.

The HR (Human Resources) department is a group that is responsible for managing the employee life cycle like recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and firing employees and administering employee benefits. It can be said that HR is an important part of every organization; without it, the organization cannot run effectively and efficiently. HR plays an important role in leading a diverse workforce. It can be said that with the help of HR the organization runs properly and effectively without many issues (Sims, 2018, p.315). It also helps the employees to work together in the organization as well.

HR’s Role in Leading a Diverse workforce is an important issue for the workplace            

HR professionals’ key role is in management and leadership which creates and empowers a diverse culture. It is an important issue in the organization and the reasons behind it are stated below-

HR promotes diversity– HR plays an important role in promoting diversity in the organization. HR is the main department that recruits and provides placement and training to the employees who work in the organization. With the help of the HR in the organization, the people work together and get the opportunity to work in various other organizations. With the help of HR people come together to work in the same field though they came from different backgrounds. Diversity in the organization helps the people to know and understand each other better in the work and helps to create a good professional bond and learn things together.

Innovation of the various things– It can be said that innovation is an important aspect within the organization and if the innovation is there in the organization, then it will be helpful for the organization for its growth in the future. HR’s Role in Leading a Diverse workforce is an important issue because if a diverse workforce is there then it will help to bring innovation to the work (Rosales, León & León-Fuentes, 2022, p.5). It can be said that innovation is an important aspect of the organization and diversity will be there when various people come from different backgrounds and all have their own experiences and knowledge. It helps to bring innovation to the work as well.

Better decision-making- HR’s Role in Leading a Diverse workforce helps to make better decisions for the organization. It is important in the workplace to have diversity because it helps to make better decisions for the organization by analyzing the work of each of the employees in the organization. In the organization all; the people who work are from various places and all have their way of working and finding problems as well. It helps the organization to get various alternatives for the organization as well. With the various alternatives, in the organization, the decision which is to be taken will be good as well and the correct decision taking can also take place.

Helps in the growth of the organization– With the diversity in the organization, it helps the organization in its growth as well. With diversity in the workplace, it means that various people are working in the organization and all have their ways of working in the organization as well. It can be said that with the various knowledge the ways of working of the people are different from each other as well. It helps the organization to get the various new concepts or ways of working and doing the work in the organization which ultimately helps the organization its growth. This helps the growth of the organization and the organization will run more effectively and efficiently as well.

Increased productivity– It can be said that productivity is the important thing in the organization and if productivity is not there in the organization, then the organization cannot able to survive for a long time in the market. The various or diverse employees in the organization, help to increase the productivity of the organization as well. It can be said that if the proper work can be done and if different people come up with various new ideas, then it will help the organization in its growth as well (Moon & Christensen, 2020, p.145). Growth in the organization can take place only when productivity is increased and productivity increased with proper planning and the proper working strategies in the organization. It can be said that with the increase in productivity, the organization runs properly.

Overview of the one-real-world example

One of the real-life examples where the diverse force is seen is in the one of the IT company Accenture. Accenture is a multinational company that has several employees who work in the organization. All the employees belong to various state, city, and culture, The company recruit people according to their talent and skill and always welcome employees with various background. The company is open to providing work to various cultures and genders without any gender discrimination. The company believes in innovation and diversity and this is the reason that the company always makes sure to embrace the change in the organization and provide the opportunity to work with them accordingly. The company always makes sure that they provide employment opportunities to each of these people without any discrimination. It can be said that it is the reason that the company is one of the good profit-earning companies (Rahman, 2019, p.35). The major role of HR in this organization is to provide the proper guidance and sure to make an opportunity that people from various parts of the world take the opportunity to work in this organization without any issues. It can be said that the real-life example of Accenture provides information that diversity is the most important thing that can take place in any organization.

Summary of Relevant Employment Law

There are various employment laws and one of the relevant employment laws in the organization is immigration laws. Immigration law refers to the national statutes, regulations, and legal precedents governing immigration into and deportation from a country. It is distinct from other matters such as naturalization and citizenship, although they are sometimes mixed. It can be said that these are the important things that need to be focused on as various immigration people are there who come to the organization to work. Immigration is the most important thing that needs to be focused on within the organization. It can be said that immigration laws are one of the most important laws that should be taken. Immigration laws are one of the important factors for any of the people who want to work outside the country and stay there as per the job requirement. So, the organization or the HR makes sure that the person who is coming outside the country needs to have such an opportunity where they get the proper work (Manuel & Karloff, 2022, p.435). It can be said here that the work that was done needs to be done here to properly validate immigration (Blancero et al. 2020, p.435). There are various roles the HR needs to do for the immigration employees and they are below-

Firstly, HR should make sure the people who are immigrating from different places must have proper proof and detailed information about themselves (Lee & Kim, 2020, p.5). If the detailed information is there then it can be helpful to understand where they belong and what things need to be seen.

Secondly, HR should make sure that they help the people who come to their countries from their country should get the proper facilities from them. The new employees should get the proper help from the HR department related to their work and their residing place. As some help should be given and make sure that proper immigration information of the employees should be with HR as well as it is the important factors that needs to be checked.

Overview of Best Practices Pertaining

Several best practices were done by HR in creating a diverse workforce. Some of its best practices are stated below-

Invest in learning and development– One of the best pertaining practices that HR does for workforce diversity is that they invest in learning and development. Investment in learning and development is one of the important things that need to be done. As it helps and boosts the learning process among the employees. The investment in learning helps to bring innovation to help works and the people will able to understand what the new changes need to be known as well. It can be said that investment in the learning process helps to boost the learning process within the organization. So, HR should always make sure to invest in it as well.

Prioritize talent and performance management- The HR should prioritize the performance and the talent of the organization. It can be said that HR should make sure that he always prioritizesbest-pertainingSomerequirementssolutions the performance of the individual or the employees rather than their gender or culture. Skill is one of the important factors for the organization which needs to be looked after. Prioritizing the talent helps to understand which employees have the capabilities in which type of work,

Compensate employees fairly– The employees should be compensated properly without any of the issues (Joseph et al. 2021, p.5). If the employees are being compensated then it can be said that this will boost their morale to work in the particular organization and they will want to work in the organization where they are being valued and this will help them to get motivated for the work which they do. It can be said that it is an important factor which should be looked after.

No gender discrimination takes place– HR should make sure that no gender discrimination should take place in the organization. The organization should follow equality in the work because if equality is not in the work, then the concept of partiality will take place in the organization which is not good at all in the organization (Chaudhry et al. 2021, p.5). It can be said that the organization should see all genders as equal and should reward them according to their work, knowledge, and skill in the work. It can be said that gender equality is one of the concepts that should be followed by the organization.

It can be concluded that HR plays an important Role in Leading a Diverse Workforce. A diverse workforce is important in all organizations for the growth of the organization. It can be said that if the growth is there in the organization, then the diversification is there. Innovation can take place in the organization only if people come from various cultures and countries and try to put their knowledge to work. Hence it can be said that HR plays an important role in diversity as they are the main person who employs the individual in the organization according to their knowledge and work.
