Leadership is the ability of the person to influence and guide followers or other members of an organization. Leadership is the vital management function of the organization. With the proper leader in the organization, the organization runs properly and effectively as well. The leadership is there in the organization so that the organization can run effectively and properly without any problemsEach. Good leadership helps in the growth of the organization properly. The leadership is influencing other people to follow (Gardner et al. 2020, p.5). Leadership is applied in the organization so that all the work gets done in the proper and effective ways by following the proper guidelines in the organization. The leadership is there in the organization so that the people can follow the same rules and regulations while performing the work properly.

The leader is the main person who guides and motivates the people to work properly and effectively within the organization as well. Good leaders are those leaders who inspire other people in the work and also help them to achieve their goals in the organization. The leader’s role is not only to supervise but also to play a proper guiding role for the subordinate. The leader should always make sure that they help the employees in their work so that in case of any difficulty they can reach out there.

Purpose statement

The purpose of leadership is to run the organization properly by following all the rules and the guide. The main purpose of a statement is about who you are as a person and how you bring those unique qualities into your leadership, so you can excel as a leader (Radi Afsouran et al. 2022, p.75). The main purpose of leadership is to provide the proper guidance to the people so that they can work properly and effectively in the organization without any issues.


There is various purpose of leadership in the organization and some of the purposes of leadership are stated below-

Firstly, one of the important purposes of leadership is all about our values and what is most important to us. It explains what things are most important for us to follow and what things we value the most if we become leaders in the organization. The leader should have the proper knowledge of what the most important things are for them and what things they keep the priority as well (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018, p.261).

Secondly, the other purpose of leadership is to run the organization properly and smoothly by motivating and guiding the employees in the organization. If the proper guidance is there then growth can ultimately take place in the organization. The purpose of it is to help the employees work smoothly in the organization by acknowledging their work and their issues and providing the proper guidance to them as well.

Thirdly the purpose of leadership is to see that all the work in the organization is done ethically with the proper follow of the rules and the regulation of the organization.

The leadership can be considered as the internal part of the organization because if the leadership is not there in the organization, then the organization’s growth cannot take pl; ace and the work will not be completed in time (McCauley & Palus, 2021, p.5). If the leadership is there then there are certain rules and regulations will be there in the organization named which have to be followed by all. With proper rules, the work was completed within the time which helps in the growth of the organization in the long run. If the good leadership is there then the company. Leadership is a vital management function that helps to direct an organization’s resources for improved efficiency and the achievement of goals.

Behavioral leadership theory

One of the leadership theories which is most compelling, to me is the behavioral leadership theory. In behavioral leadership theory, the focus is on the specific behaviors and actions of leaders rather than their traits or characteristics. The theory suggests that effective. The specific components (characteristics) that according to me are the most important leadership are the result of many learned skills. It can be said that leaders are not born they are being made. Here the behavior of the leaders is to be seen rather than its character., are stated below-

Task-oriented leadership behavior

Here the leaders are to be seen that they are facially focused on the task. For the completion of the task, the leaders make sure to motivate their employees so that they can able to work properly and complete the task. The main job of the leader here is to recognize who is more talented for a particular role or task in the organization (Cortellazzo, Bruni & Zampieri, 2019, p.5). Here the leaders encourage their employees the innovate in their work by helping them to think about the issue from different perspectives and in creative ways as well. Here the user that if the task is given as per the knowledge if he thinks that the specific task is given to the individual then over to the individual and if he feels that task needs to be done in the group then he creates the group for the task so that the task can be completed properly and effectively. The leader here is always stressed about the task which needs to be completed.

Relationship-Oriented Leader Behavior

A considerate leader creates mutual respect and prioritizes followers’ needs and desires. The proper guidance and the care of the leaders encourage the employees to work properly and effectively within the organization as well. Here the leader makes sure that he builds a good relationship with the others so that he can understand others as well. The leader focuses on proper communication with the employees to know each other well.

Those components from theory would benefit the organization or a specific organization

The components that we learned from this theory will benefit the organization in various ways. Leaders inspire members by discussing the future optimistically, providing positive communication about their achievements, and expressing confidence that set goals will be achieved. In a big organization, there are many layers of authority and multiple opportunities to be a leader (Lehrer et al. 2021, p.747). Each team member has set goals to be achieved in a year, and one of the goals is leadership achievement. Leaders want members to lead projects with full authority and responsibility. The teaching industry is a great example of empowerment leadership behavior. The teacher is always interested in the best interest of the student. The teacher always provides the opportunity to learn new things and also encourages the people to do their best in their work. The teacher provides not only numeric grades but also feedback for improvement. Comments encourage students to work on assignments differently next time.

The other component of the theory that would benefit the organization is task-oriented.  Here the teacher always makes sure that the task gets completed in the proper time so that the student can able to learn new things for the work (Daniëls, Hondeghem & Dochy, 2019, p.110). The teacher must always be task-oriented because if he gives the proper guidance to the student then the student gets the proper knowledge of the work and completes their task in innovative ways. This component of task-oriented is helpful to the teacher’s organization as if the proper training and development course is made then the student can able to learn new things in the work which will be helpful in their future as well. Communication is an important skill that the teacher should follow as it helps to understand the student properly and effectively. Communication is the key role and this concept should be used so that mutual trust and relationships can be made which helps the students to learn and understand the new thing with enthusiasm.


It can be concluded that leadership is an important factor in the organization. Leadership is the vital aspect through which the organization runs effectively. The leadership can run properly if the leaders follow the various aspects of the organization. It is correct that leaders should always make sure to encourage their employees to work properly and to bring innovation to their work. The leadership can be successful if the leaders instead of targeting their employees communicate with the other employees and try to solve the issues they are facing in the organization as it helps to create a good bond with each other and help to communicate with them as well.

Further, it can be said that the Behavioral leadership theory is one of the most important theories which is most important for the organization as well. In the organization, behavior is the one most important thing as it helps to have the knowledge that what behavior is there and should be important in the organization. The example provided related to the teacher is the best form to understand that the task and the relationship bond are important in any work. If the task-oriented leader is there then the work will get completed properly within the time without any issue. A good bond helps to understand each other well and work together in the work.
