Reflection Questions
1. “Aside from simply meeting the requirements, what were your personal goals for this assignment?”
Aside from meeting the requirements, I had a few personal goals to meet. I wanted to reflect on the core values that I gained and would love to inculcate in myself. I wanted to address those core values to make my mind and vision clear and set on the importance of them, and how to inculcate them more to be a better person.
2. “When reviewing your language choices, what choices did you make to approach your goals for staying within or moving beyond conventions for academic writing?”
When reviewing my language choices, I made certain changes to approach my goals for staying within or moving beyond conventions for academic writing. Firstly, I had to change the complex nature of writing. Some sentences and words were complex. So, to make them simpler and to make them more readable, and engaging, I had to simplify them.
3. “What parts of your work on this assignment are you most proud of?”
I am the most proud of my core values. According to me, love, sportsmanship, sharing, and caring are the most important values that everyone should have. I believe these values not only add to the quality of one’s life but also make the world a better place to live in. Though there were many values like respect, family, and others, I believe everything is mainly ruled by love. Love plays a pivotal role in the formation of a strong base for maintaining a better standard of living.
4. “What challenged you in this assignment and/or where do you need additional support from your instructor?”
The part that challenged me the most was the structuring of the essay. The formation of a particular thesis along with the connecting sentence was complex to form. Secondly, the choice of words was a little cumbersome for me. As I was trying to write in a flow, and as I was trying to maintain the academic level of language integrity, it was getting very hard sometimes to maintain the same level of steadiness, readability, and sentence-level accuracy.
