Du Bois as well as Booker T, Washington were black leaders, hence, they simply had different mentalities Du Bois simply disagrees with the black social and economic strategies upholder by Booker. Thus, they had an opposing philosophy based on their racial injustice, with a black leadership, and the black community. While Booker’s philosophy was based on racial solidity and accommodation.
2. How does Du Bois view the reaction from the North and South toward Booker T. Washington? Is it favorable?
As Washington and Du have accomplished where the accomplished the scholar, while committing the cause of the Civil Right Movement, based on the Black people in America. Thus, the differences are mainly based on the background which greatly impacts the future. Therefore, Du Bois think that blacks are required to be intellectual so that they can publish numerous influential works based on their condition in America.
3. Why do the North and South hold this view of Booker T. Washington? Give some reasons from the text why they felt this way.
Booker T Washington being an educator and a reformer plays a significant role as a black leader. Thus, he preached his philosophy, based on the ideals in order to deal with racial solidarity and their accommodation. His philosophy was different from that of Du Bois. The people view Booker who has the urge for the blacks to accept discrimination for the time being while they are concentrated on an elevating ideal through hard work and material prosperity.

Du Bois thinks that Booker takes up an equal ideal to gain civil rights. Thus, they are supposed to understand the historical struggle based on political actions.

Both Du Bois and Booker T. Washington wanted black people to understand the significance of education and philosophy so that they can narrate about their own condition being the native of the place. Thus, they are required to stand for their own position in order to realize how significant their position is and publish journals about the crisis and failures in life. Both belong to the Civil Right Movement, so they stand for the black people and their community.

The blacks had to be slaves due to their race. As people are racist in America. On the other hand, they had to face severe consequences like no education, discrimination within the society as well as in consideration within the society. Therefore, Du Bois and Booker were the intellectual persons who studied hard in order to relieve the people from this agitation faced within the society.

Booker’s teachers were mainly based on providing equal positions to the black community, under the National Association for the Advancement of colored people. Washington and Du Bois were mainly based on an influential black man’s country. As the conciliatory approach was based on Civil Rights with Black organizations to endear the white establishment. Thus, this includes President Roosevelt who consulted with all the matter about the Black people.

The views of blacks are that racial discrimination is unlike peace within the nation as per nation. White philanthropists while Washington considered the bridge with a leader in order to criticize while tolerating racial segregation while increasing Anti-black Violence and the increase of discrimination.

Du Bois think that due to the speech from Washington Anti-black violence is increasing and they should not follow their ethics and views.

I agree with both the ideologies of Booker and Du Bois because both have their own aspect to carry on to bring a better life for black people within society. Thus, some Americans think that Booker’s ideals are not that good, so they should be opposed hence, Du Bois gives out a proper philosophy to understand the intellectual development within the community.
