1. Explain the G.I. Bill. In what ways does it change America?
The Serviceman’s Readjustment Act was introduced by the year 1944, is actually known as the G.I Bill that brought a major change within the wealth system that dictates world timings. Therefore, G.I Bill gives out major benefits which are often entitled to the soldiers who are serving the country during the Second World War. Thus, the main benefits of the soldiers consisted of home loans, along with giving them educational loans, giving them unemployment benefits, and good healthcare facilities. Sadly, this was not administered to get more benefits on a local administration, based on the African American community, to push the search for the lower end of the jobs based on higher education that was heavily determined by segregation that was severely enforced (History.com, 2010). Thus, G.I Bill has made an expiration that was extended with a forever G.I Bill that was changed later before 9/11 where the veterans enjoyed the benefits even today.
2. Why did suburbanization occur after World War II? What changes does suburbia bring to American society?
Suburbanization is nothing new in the United States, as this occurred after the Second World War, due to the soldiers who have been returning to the house from the war. Hence, this wanted to live within the house mainly outside the city. Therefore, America has been facing the postwar economy based on time and has been increasing the time of leisure and the priority that often creates a family. The United States has been facing severe separation that leads to developing home life that often causes an increase in the suburban population. The G.I Bill has forced the veterans in order to purchase homes instead of rebuilding their current homes. On the other hand, another reason based on the average form of America has made in terms of outskirts, that increased the interest in an automobile based on the affordability on the higher percentage of the people who were been graduated. The changes based on suburbia have brought within American society, which was increased (Allen & Farber, 2020).
3. Why is the automobile so important to post-war America?
The significance of the automobile industry in post-war America is likely to be the revival of the economy that took place during the Second World War. Therefore, the economy was mainly developed under the criteria that set back from the Great Depression while making improvements that needed to be created and reached the final line which can be removed from the country based on the criteria of the horrible economical factor. During the Second World War, the United States was able to fully recover on the note that thrived on the factors that developed the Great Depression within the American society and eventually suppressed the American society while recovering the people of America. Americans were mainly recognized to be the wealthier persons, who were later deprived of the factors, of the middle and the lower class people who have been working for public project work and learning about the G.I Bill jobs to supply the formation of education in short. Alternatively, the United States was eventually based on the largest public working object based on the American society to grasp the knowledge of American history to develop the criteria of the National interstate and its defense. Roughly, American history can be monitored in terms of the Highway Act, which got an authority based on 25 billion dollars to create Interstate highways as the project for the next 10 years. Therefore, as America constructed new roads, this was an actual reason for its travel made frequent around the country while establishing the people to purchase automobiles (UShistory.Org, 2021).
4. Describe gendered spheres in American society before WWII and how they changed after the war.
Description of the gender spheres within the American society post World War II, because women turned to get Industrial jobs, as compared to the men who were away from their house as they would participate in the wars. Therefore, in this case, gender spheres have been deprived to focus on the idealization within the home that could make an assurance on the homestead things that were kept away. Hence, after a long time, men used to return, while the women subsided along with the employees were replaced with women, thus, this was pushing a change towards the style of the main domestic living standard. Alternatively, this was actually motivated by Vice President Nixon, who encouraged this sort of living standard and encouraged women to work in the industries. Apart from this, women became free and developed pride that actually fuel the economic structure that started a debate between capitalism and communism, which was called the Kitchen Debate (Wollentz et al. 2019). The theory from psychiatrist Dr. Benjamin said that women were just responsible for raising the children and doing household work.
5. What was the role of religion in post-World War II American society?
The explanation based on the role of religion has been caused due to post-World War II within American society along with its inclusion. Therefore, in the case of the previous decades that has been on top of the leading criteria in the way to begin a new country on the religious perspectives as the organizations were determined on the making decisions under the political factors based on the social arena. Therefore, by the year 1950, cases of religious minorities who have been taking advantage of American consumerism that can push the mainstream citizens. Apart from this, many challenges took place during the War that included the depletion based on resources can volunteer within the organization that can develop religious roles within the churches. Hence, this followed a drastic change within the event based on the post-war years that began to create an improvement (Dochuk, 2016). Thus, religion was mainly ensured during the 1950s era that began to focus on the American nation based on the Christianity level. Therefore, the service provider has been acting like an impetus challenge that took place during wartime, based on providing opportunities to improvise religious practices that ensured the traditions, while broadening the religious understanding within the American society.
6. Explain the development of youth culture in post-war America.
The youth culture took a drastic change formation during the post-war era in America. Apart from this, youth development within the post-war practices has changed the ideology based on the old economic and social justice. Therefore, most of the youths were gathered based on the factors that they protest on with the ideologies, and have been creating protestors based on college campuses at a frequent rate (Postwar era, 2018). Therefore, this movement was actually deemed on the note of the Free Speech Movement. Apart from this, the youth were also deprived of the theory based on the broadcast which was made all over America. Hence, the youth was extremist as they protest even in terms of their political understanding, which was deprived of rallies, which geared up the civil practices and learn about the citizens’ rights. Therefore, youth culture has posted the war that was made more rebellious that was made obsolete and this youth focused on the changes to let things get poorer.
