Topic 1 DQ 1: World’s Biggest Data Breaches & Hacks site
The data breach that I selected from the list of available options for this discussion is the Chinese Resume leak and it is one of the most effective data breaches from the list of options. It was analyzed that almost 202,000,000 records in the form of resumes were lost and illegally accessed from Chinese job-seeking websites or portals.
According to the analysis, the resume usually contains some sensitive information of people like contact information, address, driver’s license information, literacy level, weight information, and many others. The primary reason for the data breach that is identified by some professional experts is an unprotected MongoDB system and no password or login authentication is used for it (hacken.io, 2019).
There is sensitive information contained in the resume of candidates like email, contact number, height, weight, driver’s license, and many others.
