Based on Yeung’s article, discuss the issues associated with moving from a traditional and bureaucratic organization to a more agile structure. Imagine you are the HR officer for an organization needing to make this change. Develop two strategies to undertake this transformation. Be sure to address not only the gains but the challenges. After posting your response, critically evaluate the proposals of your classmates. What are the strengths (s) of their strategies? What are the weaknesses of their strategies? How would you suggest to improve their strategies?

Week 4 Discussion: HR Officer

Various issues take place when associated with moving from a traditional and bureaucratic organization to a more agile structure. There are various changes in the circumstances that take place with the change in the work. As earlier the people are comfortable in working where they find it easy now due to the change in the pattern of working the issue is also created as the things are not the same now as earlier it was. It can be said that in a changing process, various benefits and challenges canarethatthat take place and the organization should be ready to deal with such issues which can take place (Arokodare & Falana, 2021, p.20). To undertake these changes the strategies to take the transformation and is listed below-

Learn to understand the issue– The one strategy which can take place in transformation is to understand the issue which can take place. One should understand that what are the issues which can take place in the organization and the change in the working criteria so that signage is to be done accordingly. If the issue which can take place is known then it can be easy for the person to understand and make it as well. Understanding the issues that can take place in the transformation helps to acknowledge the changes that can take place and how to make things work out by providing them the ultimate support on it as well.

Proper training provided– The other strategy that can be applied in the transformation is to provide the proper training. The proper training in the organization helps to understand how the changes are to be managed properly. If the training is provided related to the changes, then it can be easy for the person to bring the changes in the organization as well. The training related to it helps the people in the organization to understand the work that can take place and work with that as well. The training is more important because if the proper training is provided then it can be easy to understand how to handle the changes which take place in the ways and is easy to deal with it as well.

The challenges are also there which can take place in the transformation process and some of the challenges which can take place are stated below-

The adjustment issue– It can be said that the people will not be ready to adjunct in the organization as they will think that it is disturbing, they working place and they will deny implementing the things. This causes changes in the working as they are afraid that if the changes can take place, they will not be able to understand the work properly or the lack of stability at the work can also take place in the organization as well.

Lack of effective communication– It can be said that with the change in the organization one of the challenges which can take place is effective communication. It can be said that communication can be lack behind because if the changes are taking place several circumstances take place in the organization where the people do not agree with each other on several things and there is a rise the miscommunication in the organization as well (Bajpai, Eppinger & Joglekar, 2019, p.5). Due to the miscommunication, a lack of communication takes place and the people are not ready to accept the decision that is made as well.

So, it can be said that several issues can take place due to the transformation but the organization needs to be sure that what are the changes that they are implementing and should do that accordingly so that their work can be done properly without any issues.
