6-2 Short Answer: Similarities and Differences
Module Six Short Answer Guidelines
In this assignment, you will evaluate similarities and differences in your topic as analyzed through the two lenses you have selected, and you will describe the view you get when looking at your topic through both lenses together. Finally, you will consider how this type of research process can be beneficial.
For instance, when we look at space exploration through the lenses of history and social science, we notice that both lenses deal with how people react to the topic. A difference might be that a historical perspective would look to past events to understand how space exploration has progressed, whereas a social science perspective might concentrate on the current lives of astronauts in space.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
- Describe the two lenses you have selected for your analysis.
- Compare the two lenses in relation to your topic. What are the similarities?
- Explain how the two lenses contrast with each other in relation to your topic. What are the differences?
- Reflect on the benefits of the research process. Consider the following:
- What have you gained by looking at your topic through the lenses so far?
- What might be some of the benefits of further research?
Analysis of the two lenses:
The two lenses that have been selected to evaluate the justice system, are the social lens and the historical lens. The historical lens is meant to analyze history, in various interesting ways. Thus, as evaluated, the historical lens can be studied that includes the historical significance, the evidence, and the interpretations. The historical lens also includes continuity and learning about the changes, based on learning about the causes and the consequences, on historical perspectives, and getting an idea about ethical judgment. Moreover, the historians learn a great deal while developing insight into the past and how difficult living was, as there was no proper justice system, hence, people had to face discrimination on various grounds, like racial, religious, and even in case of gender grounds (Blog44.Ca 2018).
Alternatively, the social lens mainly focuses on the different people who can create an interaction with different people. Apart from this, the social lens helps to explore the different areas of ethnicity, class, and gender of the people. Thus, the social lens mainly develops criteria to examine the actions and learn about the behavior of different people who interact within a single group, with each other. Hence, a social lens is wherein a particular situation is based on the happening around the world. Therefore, this serves as a frame that develops a belief system within the society. The social lens is a by-product of me another sophisticated and socialized process, which is created and perpetuated within the society.
Similarities between two lenses
The historical lens creates an outlook, that is developed in order to learn about the past. This focuses on developing an area, that focuses on the various topics, that deprived of the various topics, that shows the things that took place in the past. For example, the historical lens mainly focuses on learning about the conflict that took place between Great Britain and the small republics in South Africa. Thus, the historical lens mainly focuses on getting the outlook, that deals with the horrific past and the society of the past.
In this context, the social justice system mainly focuses on having knowledge that sharpens to focus on the present society, as compared with making some developments that took place within the society before. However, both the historical lens and social lens are different in terms of nature and scope. Hence, they have several similarities in their nature of study underneath the topic of justice. Thus, both the historical lens and the social lens mainly deal with looking into society, so that this can focus on how it works, where people are related to an issue, war, or any political affair which is connected with social behavior (Corporatefinanceinstitute.com 2020). Thus, both the lens focuses on learning about social compliance, traditions, and cultures.
Differences between two lenses
In this contrast, I would like to mention that both the social lens and the historical lens have significant differences. In this context, the historical lens mainly focuses on the society which was followed before. As in the case of the historical lens, that kept on analyzing the past in an interesting manner. Therefore, the historical lens mainly focuses on gathering information about the past, through six historical lenses. This focuses on the idea about the war, that eventually took place in ancient times. Thus, this focuses on the war, the behavior of the people, and the attacks that were done within the society mainly based on the historical justice lens. On the other hand, the historical lens mainly focuses on looking forward to the past and learning about the society and the community of the past.
Moreover, in contrast with this, the social lens predicts the present society and the community, in order to develop the justice system, that is required to be followed by the people. The social lens helps us to evaluate the people, their behavior, and what is required to develop society. For example, previously, as per the historical lens, that delivers the idea that African-American citizens staying in the United States had no priority to vote. Thus, the present society is deprived of the changes, under the rules and guidelines of the United States. Thus, the social lens focuses on learning about the behavior done by the people in the historical period. Due to this reason, in case of the justice system was different as per the historical lens. Thus, this deprived of the Civil Movement Act, which took up the initiative so that the justice system could be transformed, and thus, the blacks got a chance that is Right to Vote and develop their identity to be recognized as citizens of America.
Reflection on the benefits of the research:
Reflection on what I have gained from this paper analysis
This has helped me to learn about social and historical lenses. These two lenses are mainly deprived of the situation, one is based on learning about the historical aspect, which is about the community and the behavior of the people. While on the contrary, the social lens mainly focuses on the subject that tries to help the people to learn about the society, so that they can overcome the past situation with the implementation of the new justice system to provide a solution within the society.
The benefits of the research
Thus, the benefit of this paper is mainly placed on the concluding aspect, which has helped me to learn about the similarities and differences between the selected lenses which are a social lens and a historical lens. The benefit of this research paper is that this taught me about the trouble caused by to Civil Wars, the First World War along the Second World War, through the historical lens. Therefore, a social lens acts as a policy that helped me to learn about community behavior, and how people can overcome the situation. I have also learned how previously people had to face hardships and discrimination based on racial grounds, religion, or even in case of their gender. Thus, I prefer to social lens, as this has helped me to gain knowledge about the community, and the people. Therefore, accomplishing the knowledge based on this topic has acted as a guide to me, because this has helped me to develop my justice perspectives, based on the neglected individuals of the society. Thus, this will help me to develop my employability in order to learn about the similarities and differences between the selected lenses.
